BACKGROUND
The conception and inception of Madan Bhandari Memorial college was
a concrete step in the direction of realizing and materializing the
dreams and desires of the great national and people's leader Madan Kumar
Bhandari. Since its inception, the institution has been rendering valuable
and precious service to the society by imparting quality education.
Being a community college, it is devoted to help achieve social justice
and for this purpose the institution has been providing different kinds
of scholarship, monetary, physical and moral support to the marginalized
groups of the society, to the far off remote regions of the country.
During the last ten years, the college has made tremendous achievements
and success. Today we are in a position to start post-graduate classes
in various subjects because we have distinguished ourselves on the national
level at the Higher Secondary and Bachelor Levels. We are equally thankful
to guardians, social-workers, who have been giving us their valuable
advice and guidance regularly about different development works that
should be undertaken. As a result of such cooperation and participation,
this institution stands singular in the academic world of Nepal.
This program that we are going to launch - M.A. in English - is a step
in the direction of realizing our dream of establishing Madan Bhandari
Memorial University in near future. We are confident that the team of
English teachers will distinguish this program by their performance
and achievement.
MESSAGE FROM THE CAMPUS CHIEF
I have the great pleasure of announcing the launching of M.A. program
in English from this academic session. The program, I believe, is one
stage of the continuing development of Madan Bhandari Memorial College.
We have been successfully carrying on our academic programs at the +2
level and Bachelor's level, as a result of which now we are inspired
to start Master's Level program in different subjects. So that our dream
of establishing Madan Bhandari University is realized in near future.
M.A. Program in English. I hope, is going to be a distinctive mark of
this institution because we have already distinguished ourselves by
our outstanding achievements at the Bachelor's Level, particularly in
English Literature courses. It is this reality of the institution that
has encouraged and inspired us to start this program. Our faculties
are well-experienced and qualified enough to run the program, perform
and achieve effectively. Besides this, the programme is also going to
be supported and strengthened by experts from outside, by guest lectures,
symposiums, seminars and research-oriented activities.
I firmly believe that as usual the institution will get unqualified
support and cooperation from students, guardians, teachers, staff and
the public in general. Madan Bhandari Memorial College is symbolic of
the dreams and desires of the late people's leader Madan Kumar Bhandari
and all people will contribute to the realization of his dreams, and
fulfill the things and works left incomplete by him. We are dedicated
to the pledge made by our leader.

A Program with a Difference!
The mission of M.A. Program in English of Madan Bhandari Memorial College
is to provide our students with ample opportunities for developing their
communicative, critical, academic and professional skills at a reasonable
cost. The college seeks to provide academically sound human resource
to meet the social and national requirements of quality, and competent
education. Naturally, such a program intends to broaden the outlook
and rational point of view so that a viable and stable society may be
built up. It is in the interest of the society in general that this
institution is devoted to work. This program is part of that task undertaken
by the Madan Bhandari Memorial Foundation.
MESSAGE FROM THE COORDINATOR
Madan Bhandari Memorial College is now going to provide a golden opportunity
to students of Humanities for further higher education by launching
the M.A. program in English. We are proud of our Bachelor Level achievements
especially in Major English during the previous years. So we hope and
believe that we shall get full support and cooperation from our dear
students. Besides this, all those who support and cooperate with this
institution have yet another opportunity to demonstrate how they can
develop this institution toward achieving the great people's leader's
dream of a peaceful progressive and prospectus Nepal, The program is
intended to develop efficient and capable human resource to man the
academic world of the country.
As a coordinator I would like to say that our students will be provided
with all possible facilities that are required for the smooth conduct
of the program-well-furnished classroom, computer lab, internet facility,
light, transportation, guest lectures, books and journals. Our program
is going to be research-oriented so that our products emerge internationally
competent in the academic world. To conclude, we are committed to quality
and success_ a fact already published in the achievements of this institution
and known to the society in general.

The students of Madan Bhandari Memorial College of Master's Level in
English are going to have enough opportunity to explore their potentialities

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Aspiring candidates should have passed Bachelor's Level examination
with English as their major subject. They will have to take an hour
long Entrance Test Examination (ETE) and qualify in the final selection
for admission.
Admission forms will be distributed by the college office from 7 am
to 4 pm from Sunday to Friday.
