BACKGROUND
The = conception and=20 inception of Madan Bhandari Memorial college was a concrete step = in the=20 direction of realizing and materializing the dreams and desires of = the=20 great national and people's leader Madan Kumar Bhandari. Since its = inception, the institution has been rendering valuable and = precious=20 service to the society by imparting quality education. Being a = community=20 college, it is devoted to help achieve social justice and for this = purpose=20 the institution has been providing different kinds of scholarship, = monetary, physical and moral support to the marginalized groups of = the=20 society, to the far off remote regions of the country.
During = the last=20 ten years, the college has made tremendous achievements and = success. Today=20 we are in a position to start post-graduate classes in various = subjects=20 because we have distinguished ourselves on the national level at = the=20 Higher Secondary and Bachelor Levels. We are equally thankful to=20 guardians, social-workers, who have been giving us their valuable = advice=20 and guidance regularly about different development works that = should be=20 undertaken. As a result of such cooperation and participation, = this=20 institution stands singular in the academic world of = Nepal.
This=20 program that we are going to launch - M.A. in English - is a step = in the=20 direction of realizing our dream of establishing Madan Bhandari = Memorial=20 University in near future. We are confident that the team of = English=20 teachers will distinguish this program by their performance and=20 achievement.

MESSAGE FROM THE CAMPUS = CHIEF
I=20 have the great pleasure of announcing the launching of M.A. = program in=20 English from this academic session. The program, I believe, is one = stage=20 of the continuing development of Madan Bhandari Memorial College. = We have=20 been successfully carrying on our academic programs at the +2 = level and=20 Bachelor's level, as a result of which now we are inspired to = start=20 Master's Level program in different subjects. So that our dream of = establishing Madan Bhandari University is realized in near = future.
M.A.=20 Program in English. I hope, is going to be a distinctive mark of = this=20 institution because we have already distinguished ourselves by our = outstanding achievements at the Bachelor's Level, particularly in = English=20 Literature courses. It is this reality of the institution that has = encouraged and inspired us to start this program. Our faculties = are=20 well-experienced and qualified enough to run the program, perform = and=20 achieve effectively. Besides this, the programme is also going to = be=20 supported and strengthened by experts from outside, by guest = lectures,=20 symposiums, seminars and research-oriented activities.
I firmly = believe=20 that as usual the institution will get unqualified support and = cooperation=20 from students, guardians, teachers, staff and the public in = general. The=20 mission of M.A. Program in English of Madan Bhandari Memorial = College is=20 to provide our students with ample opportunities for developing = their=20 communicative, critical, academic and professional skills at a = reasonable=20 cost. The college seeks to provide academically sound human = resource to=20 meet the social and national requirements of quality, and = competent=20 education. Naturally, such a program intends to broaden the = outlook and=20 rational point of view so that a viable and stable society may be = built=20 up. It is in the interest of the society in general that this = institution=20 is devoted to work. This program is part of that task undertaken = by the=20 Madan Bhandari Memorial Foundation.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Aspiring candidates should have passed Bachelor's = Level=20 examination with English as their major subject. They will have to = take an=20 hour long Entrance Test Examination (ETE) and qualify in the final = selection for admission.
Admission forms will be distributed by = the=20 college office from 7 am to 4 pm from Sunday to = Friday.
