I am=20 very much pleased for having an opportunity to announce that Madan = Bhandari Memorial College is going to run Masters Degree in = Journalism and=20 Mass Communication, and English from this year onwards. We have = already=20 been running Masters Degree in Sociology / Anthropology.
In = this=20 competitive age, quality education keeps a great value. Well = educated=20 young generation with life skills and moral values can shoulder=20 responsibilities of nation building. Keeping this point in mind, = this=20 college is going to run Masters Degree in Journalism and Mass=20 Communication which has become one of the prolific subjects among = the=20 youths of young generation. A = student=20 holding Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication = recognized=20 by the Trubhuvan University is considered eligible for admission. = An=20 applicant seeking admission in Journalism and Mass Communication = should=20 appear in the Entrance Exam and secure minimum qualifying=20 marks.

Our Efforts
MBM = College, a=20 community college, is a well known educational institution that is = dedicated to quality education and social services. The young, = dynamic,=20 result-oriented faculties, with proper instructions and guidance = of senior=20 and experienced scholars, have been serving the college. While = talking=20 about physical infrastructure, this college is going to be one of = the=20 well-facilitated colleges in the country. A new building with = modern=20 facilities is in ready-to-use form in Baneshwor (south of = Anamnagar),=20 Kathmandu. The Computer lab is equipped with unlimited Internet = service.=20
BA in Journalism and Mass Communication is one of the = successful=20 programs of this college. Its products have now been shouldering=20 journalistic responsibilities in reputed media houses including = BBC.=20 Similarly, they have been performing well in the fields of media = research=20 and media education. These achievements have inspired us to launch = Masters=20 Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
The college = possesses a=20 radio station named as Mero FM, a college based community radio, = which can=20 be heard on 93.5 MHz in and around Kathmandu. This radio has = become a=20 platform for students who want to sharpen their knowledge and = skills in=20 the field of radio broadcasting. A good chunk of students are now=20 producing radio programs and they have been going on air.
MBM = College=20 is providing Journalism and Mass Communication students with = plenty of=20 platforms. Communication Study Center (CSC), an academic wing of = MBM=20 College, is very much dedicated to such activities that explore = the=20 potentials of students. Since last 4 years, CSC has been = facilitating=20 Journalism and Mass Communication students to equip them with = knowledge=20 and skills. It organizes different events such as interaction = program with=20 media experts, film screening, news writing competition, etc. In = the same=20 sequence, serial publications viz. MBM Media Newsletter, MBM = Anthology and=20 wallpaper come under regular activities of CSC. The main aim of = CSC=20 activities is to provide students with opportunities that help = them to be=20 saleable in the media marketplace.
