A speech contest on the topic 'Nepal Praja Parshad and Democracy' was conducted on December 15 2023, with seven contestants participating. The program, jointly organized by the MBMC School of Liberal Arts and the Tanka Prasad Acharya Memorial Foundation (TPAMF), was attended by faculties and students from different streams of the college. The first, second, and third positions were awarded to Gaurav Pandey (BA Second Year), Sneha Jha (BA Fourth Year), and Shreejana Neupane (BA Fourth Year), respectively. Prizes for the winners include cash amounts (Rs. 10,000 for the first, Rs. 6,500 for the second, and Rs. 3,500 for the third), books, and a diploma. A panel of judges, comprising the Chair of TPAMF, Mr. Sushil Pyakurel, the member of the federal parliament, Ms. Bidhya Bhattarai, and the Head of the School of Liberal Arts, Dr. Raghu Mainali, evaluated the contestants' performances. The School of Liberal Arts extends its congratulations to the winners and contestants, expressing thankfulness to all who contributed to the program's success.

Addressing the program, our campus chief, Dr. Baburam Adhikari, stated that the college is committed to providing appropriate platforms like this where students can actively participate and explore their potential. Similarly, the Chair of TPAMF, Mr. Pyakurel, expressed his willingness to collaborate with the college to organize similar programs in the future.
