CALL FOR RESEARCH PROPOSALS

Madan Bhandari Memorial College invites research proposals from the faculty members in the areas of their interest and expertise in sciences, management and humanities for review and consideration for Grant. Proposals that bridge disciplines and theories and link contemporary discourses on academic excellence, human conditions, practices and actions with the needs to make life better, fairer, sustainable and equitable, receive preferences for Grant by the College. 

Proposals may involve faculties and students across disciplines within the college. Proposals   should follow basic components like title, background, rational/statement of research, objectives, clear methodology, schedule, budget and standard referencing. You may include additional sections or you may consult with RMC for preparatory guidelines for more clarity like literature review, significance, scope and limitations, research questions and hypothesis etc. as optional provision. Upon submission, the college RMC will schedule evaluation meeting for the short listed proposals with a short notice between 3 to 7 days. Budget for a project may be allocated up to 50 thousands for individual mini research project and it may be granted up to 2 lakhs for collective project depending upon nature of research, significance, student’s involvement and faculty across discipline engagement. The duration will be up to 6 months which may be changed subject to evaluation committee. The maximum 5 projects will be selected for grants. 

The faculty members are encouraged to involve students in their proposed research works.
