MBMC Media Conference

As a leading institution committed to advancing critical media literacy and academic inquiry, Madan Bhandari Memorial College is organizing this conference to address the urgent need for dialogue on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming media education. With AI rapidly influencing journalism practices, content creation, ethics, and teaching methodologies, the conference seeks to bring together scholars, educators, media professionals, and students to critically explore these changes and chart a thoughtful path forward.

Objectives

  • Examine the integration of AI technologies in media education and journalism.
  • Discuss ethical, legal, and societal implications of AI in media practices.
  • Share innovative teaching methodologies and curricular developments influenced by AI.
  • Foster collaborations among academia, industry, and policymakers to navigate the AI-driven media landscape.

We invite original research papers, case studies, and theoretical discussions on topics including, but not limited to:

  • AI-driven tools in journalism and their educational implications.
  • Curriculum development for media studies in the AI era.
  • Ethical considerations and challenges posed by AI in media.
  • Impact of AI on media literacy and critical thinking skills.
  • Use of AI in content personalization and its effects on audience engagement.
  • AI and the future of investigative journalism.
  • Data journalism and the role of AI in data analysis.
  • AI's influence on media policy and regulation.
  • Cross-cultural perspectives on AI integration in media education.
  • Algorithms bias and public opinion

Submission Guidelines

Abstracts:

  • Length: Within 300 words.
  • Language: English or Nepali.
  • Content: Should include the title, author's name(s), affiliation(s), contact information, background, research objectives, methodology, key findings, and relevance to the conference theme.
  • Format: Follow APA 7th edition for citations and references.

 

 

 

Full Papers

  • Length: 4,000–8,000 words.
  • Language: English or Nepali.
  • Format: Follow APA 7th edition for citations and references.

Submission Process

Important Dates

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: Jestha 10, 2082 (May 24, 2025)
  • Notification of Acceptance of Abstract: Jestha 17, 2082 (May 31, 2025)
  • Full Paper Submission Deadline: Asar 2, 2082 (June 16, 2025)

Presentation Formats

  • Oral Presentations: 10-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute Q&A session.
  • Poster Presentations: Visual display of research findings, with designated times for discussion.

Eligibility and Participation

  • Open to academicians, researchers, media professionals, and students.
  • Early-career researchers and students are encouraged to submit.
  • International participants are welcome.
